I’ve been having lessons for almost two years. I have learned so much and want to learn lots more! The weekly lessons... have been a very enjoyable experience and I have met a few of Ian’s other students and practiced together for a couple of open mike nights. Under Ian’s stewardship we managed to put a few tunes together that helped vastly improve our timing and rhythm. Since the lockdown Ian has continued lessons using Zoom and this has worked very well. I’m in my mid sixties and I wanted to resist doing any grades but Ian convinced me that these would help and sure enough it really is working. Don't think twice, book your lesson now! Having played the same few chords for decades I thought I would take the... plunge and I am so glad I have 18 months on. I have learnt so much technique but much more than that, a deeper understanding and appreciation of music. Ian complements his teaching with all the tools of a modern musician such as apps, transcribe software, streaming, youtube as well as books etc, both in the lesson and as "homework". He is realistic and has helped me set my own goals that work in a pretty busy life. He is very flexible and understanding when I have had to cancel at short notice.
